Love thy medicine

This year I’ve become quite the connoisseur of prescription drugs.
Personally, I think the 2007 Phizer collection is divine. It goes without saying that a well crafted capsule goes down smooth (although I said it anyway), but my Phizer stock of tablets go down almost as well. There’s a very mild bitter taste, with just [...]

Do you get soreness in your shoulder from all the lateral movement associated with “mousing.” If so, you might want to try a trackball.
I was a victim of repetitive motion, and the havoc it can wreak on your joints. It had gotten to the point that ibuprofen warranted it’s own line in our budget. A [...]

Those of you lured in by my title (no doubt statistics junkies one and all) are in for a little disappointment… there’s no rhyme or reason behind my titles, I just go with the first thing that pops into my head, wether it makes sense or not.

“Baby Einstoned”

There was an interesting item on Slate’s Human Nature page this morning. It described recent research which suggested “Baby Einstein” was bad for babies:
Baby DVDs are worse than educational TV shows, because the DVDs “have little dialogue, short scenes, disconnected pictures and … linguistically indescribable images.” Researcher’s conclusion: Your kid is better off watching American [...]

I bought frozen dinners to tide me over this week. Yep, all that talk about wanting to cook was nothing but a pile of steaming, reconstituted potato flakes.
With the kids gone with my wife to the Kauffman Family (v 2.2.2) ancestral home, I could have used the down time to hone my budding craft. Instead, [...]

Wii

If you think hunt & peck typing is tough, try doing it with a laser pointer and a thumb. That’s essentially what I’m doing right now on the Wii. It’s great practice for gaming though… lots of quick, precise movements.
